GPR

Glue Pulling has grown fast and evolved into GPR or "Glue Pull Repair" used without or in combination with paintwork. GPR repairs have become very powerful systems because of a big family of different melting glue types and many, many accessories.

The many types of products and extra tools have made it possible to replace the use of the traditional spotter and many other tools.

  • Glues

Ever since Glue pulling became popular, have we seen new types of glue coming continually. But the melting glues of the 80 ties and nineties are long gone, new types of glues have come and the former structured glue tabs have been replaced by bigger and longer tabs that needed a longer "open time" and therefore some slower drying glue types.

Today we see a glue for every work situation, from high humidity to dry and cold areas, there is a perfect glue for it.

And since a few years now we have seen the rise of Cold Glue types, no need for a glue gun here, and there are all-ready many options here too. USA glues are always 12mm in diameter, while EU glues use 11mm sticks.

  • Glue guns

There are many types of hot glue guns on the marked, we have chosen to focus on the PRO tools, meant for daily use, with an adjustable temperature and, at the possibility to heat up to 200 degrees Celsius, as this is the most efficient glue temperature for some of the professional glues.

We have 220V wired guns, cordless (mainly using Makita batteries) and also hybrid versions, that will heat up standing on the base, while they can be used cordless when they reached the desired temperature.

Most tools can be ordered to be used with Dewalt or Milwaukee batteries to.

  • Glue tabs

There are unbelievable many different Glue tabs on the marked. For professional use the harder / stiffer tab types are the most used ones, while the softer (Wurth type) tabs give you less precise control over the pull and are less accurate.

We distribute the most used worldwide Keco tabs and tools, and some other PRO tabs. And that means Centipede tabs, super tabs, Heavy Duty tabs and more as well as the CamAuto tabs and tools. These are available in a dimpled (Golf ball) structured surface, as well as with a smooth surface that works best with the latest types of glue.

The different tabs and glue types available today can give you MUCH, MUCH more power than for example 10 years ago.

  • GPR toolsets

Glue pull tool kits are available in many variations, and most of the time they are NOT meant for Professional use at all. As we have written before the Tabs should be as stiff as possible, the glue gun needs at least 180-200 degrees Celsius to be useful in a PRO setup, and the same counts for the glue that comes with it.

It VERY IMPORTANT to realize that there are differences between the USA tools and glues, and most of the European versions. That means that a Glue gun can only be used for one of these NOT FOR BOTH!

Therefore you'd better make a good choice when you choose your first toolkit, or it could become useless if you want to go the professional route.

  • GPR accessories

Many accessories for PDR/GPR work are available and they keep launching new types all the time. Of course many standard hand tools are also needed, for example for dismantling, removing parts, lights and coverings.

And now and then you might need dampening sheets, sealers or other chemicals to finish a job correctly. But also polishing tools, wipes, cloths and many other things can be useful for the PDR-GPR technician.

And then there are pliers that can be used as a fulcrum or an aid to hold something out of the way, (inspection) lights, knives and many other accessories. You will find most of them here.
